Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 July 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of Shortfolios ("we", "us"), a service that builds one-page portfolio websites for short-form video editors. By purchasing, you agree to these terms.

Payments are processed by Paddle. Paddle.com Market Ltd acts as the merchant of record for all orders. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms, and your receipt and invoice are issued by Paddle.

1. What you're buying

We offer two products:

Exact features and prices are shown on our homepage at the time of purchase.

2. What we need from you

To build your portfolio we need the details you enter on our site and a working link to your video files. If the link is inaccessible, expired, or permission-restricted, we will contact you; delivery time starts once we can access the files.

3. Delivery

We aim to deliver within 24 hours of receiving your order and usable clips. This is a target, not a guarantee — occasional delays happen. If we cannot deliver at all, you receive a full refund.

4. Your content and rights

You keep all rights to the videos, text, and images you provide. By submitting them you confirm that:

You grant us permission to host, display, and reproduce your content solely to build, publish, and maintain your portfolio. If you buy Pro, you also permit us to show your portfolio to studios and agencies as part of our editor roster. You can opt out of the roster at any time by emailing us.

We remove content promptly on notice of a credible rights complaint.

5. What you own

The finished portfolio file is yours. You may keep, modify, and host it anywhere, indefinitely, including after any hosting period ends. We retain rights to the underlying templates and tooling — you are not permitted to resell or redistribute the template itself as a competing product.

6. Hosting (Pro)

Pro includes 12 months of hosting from the date your portfolio goes live. After that, hosting may be renewed at the price shown on our site. If you choose not to renew, your hosted link stops working, but you keep the portfolio file and can host it elsewhere.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Hosting depends on third-party infrastructure and may experience downtime, maintenance, or changes outside our control.

7. Updates

Your portfolio includes a built-in editor, so you can change your content yourself at no cost, for as long as you have the file. For hosted (Pro) portfolios, send us your updated file and we will republish it at no additional charge.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use our service to publish unlawful, misleading, hateful, or infringing material, or to impersonate another person. We may decline or withdraw service, with a refund of amounts paid for undelivered work, if content breaches these terms.

9. Refunds

See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

10. Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care, but to the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost work, lost clients, or lost income.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory local law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your purchase. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms: client@shortfolios.com. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
