These terms govern your purchase and use of Shortfolios ("we", "us"), a service that builds one-page portfolio websites for short-form video editors. By purchasing, you agree to these terms.
Payments are processed by Paddle. Paddle.com Market Ltd acts as the merchant of record for all orders. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms, and your receipt and invoice are issued by Paddle.
We offer two products:
Exact features and prices are shown on our homepage at the time of purchase.
To build your portfolio we need the details you enter on our site and a working link to your video files. If the link is inaccessible, expired, or permission-restricted, we will contact you; delivery time starts once we can access the files.
We aim to deliver within 24 hours of receiving your order and usable clips. This is a target, not a guarantee — occasional delays happen. If we cannot deliver at all, you receive a full refund.
You keep all rights to the videos, text, and images you provide. By submitting them you confirm that:
You grant us permission to download the files from the share link you provide, make browser-safe copies (including transcoding video and creating poster images), and publicly host, display, and reproduce those copies solely to build, publish, update, and maintain your portfolio. The share link must remain accessible until we confirm that the files have been received. You also permit us to show your portfolio to studios and agencies as part of our editor roster. You can opt out of the roster at any time by emailing us.
We remove content promptly on notice of a credible rights complaint.
The finished portfolio file is yours. You may keep, modify, and host it anywhere, indefinitely, including after any hosting period ends. We retain rights to the underlying templates and tooling — you are not permitted to resell or redistribute the template itself as a competing product.
The plan is annual, and the fee covers 12 months of hosting from the date your portfolio goes live. Renewing the plan keeps the hosted link working. If you choose not to renew, the hosted link stops working, but you keep the portfolio file and can host it elsewhere. There is no separate hosting charge on top of the plan price.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Hosting depends on third-party infrastructure and may experience downtime, maintenance, or changes outside our control.
We prepare clips for clear browser playback and review them before publication. If a clip cannot fit the hosting limits without an unacceptable loss of clarity, we will ask for a shorter or alternative source instead of publishing a visibly degraded copy.
Send us the changes you want and we will make them at no additional charge for as long as your plan is active. We republish the updated version for you. Updates are handled on request. We will tell you when a change will be done rather than commit to a fixed turnaround.
You may not use our service to publish unlawful, misleading, hateful, or infringing material, or to impersonate another person. We may decline or withdraw service, with a refund of amounts paid for undelivered work, if content breaches these terms.
Our editor workspace includes analysis tools (a reference/outreach channel finder, a pre-upload video evaluator, and a channel diagnostic). Their scores, findings, and suggestions are transparent heuristics benchmarked against known short-form patterns — not predictions or guarantees. We do not promise any views, reach, subscribers, or "virality", and you should treat every result as informational guidance, not a guaranteed outcome. The tools will not recommend tactics that violate a platform's terms; where they surface such behaviour, it is flagged as a risk to avoid. You are responsible for how you act on the tools' output and for complying with YouTube's and any other platform's terms. Free tools have usage limits; higher limits are included with paid plans.
See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
We provide the service with reasonable care, but to the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost work, lost clients, or lost income.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory local law.
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your purchase. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
Questions about these terms: client@shortfolios.com. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
